Will SchemaRank conflict with JSON-LD my theme already emits?
No. SchemaRank detects existing Product JSON-LD on your product pages and only injects when the metafield is set. The theme app extension has an Enable/Disable toggle in the Shopify Theme Editor, so you can disable injection for any theme or product that already has complete schema.
How does the JSON-LD get onto my product pages?
SchemaRank uses a Shopify theme app extension — an app-embed block targeting the <head> of your product template. It reads the schemarank/product_jsonld metafield written by the app and prints a <script type='application/ld+json'> tag. No theme files are edited; the block survives all theme updates.
Is there a risk to my store?
All fixes are fully reversible with one click. Deleting the metafield instantly removes the JSON-LD from the live page. The app never modifies your product descriptions without your explicit approval (all AI rewrites go through an approve-before-publish workflow).
Does SchemaRank fabricate review data?
Never. Aggregate ratings in Product JSON-LD must reflect real review data — Google penalizes fabricated markup. SchemaRank only includes aggregateRating when your store has real review data. If you use a reviews app, you can add rating data to your products and re-audit to pick it up.
How is AI-Readiness Score calculated?
Nine weighted rules, summing to 100 points: hasOffer (15), hasPricePositive (10), hasAvailability (10), hasBrand (10), hasGtinOrMpn (10), hasAggregateRating (10), hasImage (10), descriptionLength ≥50 words (15), descriptionExtractable (10). The same engine runs in both the Shopify app and the public scanner.

How does billing work?
Billing is handled by Shopify — you see the charge on your Shopify bill, and Shopify is the merchant of record. No separate credit card required. Free plan includes the full audit and score. Pro ($29/mo) adds bulk auto-fix and AI rewrites. Agency ($79/mo) adds higher rewrite quota, bulk approve queue, and PDF reports.
What is the public scanner?
A free tool on this site that scans any Shopify storefront URL without installing the app. It fetches the page server-side, extracts JSON-LD, and scores it using the same engine. Results are anonymous — no account needed.
